Gabriel Jesus takes charge
At the start of the second half, Mikel Arteta brought on Martin Odegaard and William Saliba, but it was Gabriel Jesus who made the difference. Assisted by Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Jesus equalized with a superb finish against Dean Henderson. Minutes later, he scored again, this time from a pass by Bukayo Saka.
Decisive hat-trick
Gabriel Jesus completed his hat-trick shortly after. Completely free on the halfway line, he was spotted by Martin Odegaard and ran half the length of the pitch before slotting the ball into the bottom corner. Despite a late header from Eddie Nketiah, the Gunners held on to win 3-2, securing their place in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals. Gabriel Jesus once again proved his importance to Arsenal, delivering an exceptional hat-trick and securing his team’s victory in a thrilling match.
