A rapid surface shift
There’s hardly time to adjust from clay to grass. As soon as Roland-Garros concludes, the tour pivots to the shortest but most revered surface in tennis. Wimbledon 2025 kicks off with qualifying rounds from June 23 to 26, before the main draw starts on Monday, June 30, and runs through Sunday, July 13. The women’s final is scheduled for Saturday, July 12, with the men’s final to follow on Sunday, July 13.
Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic: the clash of generations
Fresh from his triumph in Paris, Carlos Alcaraz steps onto the London grass as defending champion. Seeking to retain his crown, he could meet his main rival Jannik Sinner in what many hope will be a blockbuster rematch. And while youth grabs the spotlight, the ever-formidable Novak Djokovic, a seven-time Wimbledon champion, cannot be overlooked. Meanwhile, rising names like Jack Draper, Alex De Minaur, and Taylor Fritz may just shake up the draw.

Gauff’s momentum, Sabalenka’s revenge, Paolini’s surprise
On the women’s side, the battle is wide open. Coco Gauff, who emerged victorious at Roland-Garros, hopes to extend her streak on a surface still unfamiliar to many top contenders. Her rival in Paris, Aryna Sabalenka, will be eager to turn the tables. Barbora Krejcikova, last year’s surprise winner, enters Wimbledon as the 17th-ranked player. American contenders Madison Keys and Jessica Pegula, along with Italy’s Jasmine Paolini, a 2024 finalist, could also disrupt predictions in this unpredictable draw.
The stage is set
More than just a tournament, Wimbledon is tennis in its purest form—white attire, strawberries and cream, and meticulously trimmed grass. The 2025 edition promises its share of drama, legacy-building and perhaps, new names etched in history. Whether it’s your first Wimbledon or you’ve followed it for years, one thing’s for sure: tradition and tension will once again meet on the world’s most iconic court.
